Our regular tours are off to a fine start this spring – we have already had visitors from Russia, Canada, The US and Germany plus of course our English friends here for weekends and days out. Each Sunday – whatever the weather – we turn up hoping that we can entertain and inform our visitors who join us on a tour. We have never been able to quite work out the influence of the weather on how many we get on a tour! Despite creating spreadsheets to analyse the figures and make sense of the statistics, we still have no idea. Though all we really care about is that people want to join us and go away afterwards having really enjoyed the informative but relaxed tour!
The specialist tours we are promoting this summer are during the Festival of Chichester during mid June to mid July. The tours provide a wide variety of entertainment. Margaret – for the very first time – is offering a special one-off tour of Bognor Regis. Peter’s great interest is the English Civil War – so he has put together a tour drawing together all the strands of what was happening in the city at the end of December 1642. And I will be taking people around the Cathedral Close – a part of the city that many don’t venture far into but is full of intrigue and many interesting buildings. I will also be conducting two tours outside the city in the village of Bosham relating the history of the village from the very earliest of times through to the modern day.
Take a look at the calendar to see the dates and times that these special tours will take place.
